SQ Res Completed the Construction with Topping Off on June 18, 2022
Property development company PT Intiland Development TBK has successfully completed the construction phase of SQ Rés apartments, located in South Jakarta. This stage is marked by the ceremony of closing the roof or ‘topping off’ the apartment tower, undertaken by the directors of Intiland and representatives of the contractors and consultants on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
“We are happy that the construction of SQ Rés went smoothly despite the difficult situation due to the Covid 19 pandemic. We were always committed to completing it on time and trying to meet buyers’ expectations,” said Permadi Indra Yoga, Intiland’s Director of Business Development, after the topping off ceremony.
Permadi Indra Yoga explained that the topping off was an important stage in the process of constructing SQ Rés, to encourage buying interest from potential consumers, which had fallen during the Covid 19 pandemic.
On the other hand, Kudarsono, Project Leader of SQ Rés, explained that one of the success factors in the construction of SQ Rés is the similar level of commitment that was displayed by contractors, consultants, and all parties involved in the development process. The main contractor, PT Total Bangun Persada Tbk, and the sub-contractors managed to build a good synergy together to complete the entire construction work.
“Currently, the construction of tower D has entered the stage of completing the building façade and interior. We project that the handover of units to consumers can be carried out starting in the second quarter of next year,” said Kundarso.
Intiland is optimistic that the process of completing the SQ Rés construction will run smoothly and the handover of units to consumers can be carried out on time. Furthermore, the development phase will focus on the construction of the façade, mechanical and electrical, as well as the completion of existing facilities.
SQ Rés is one of Intiland’s newest development projects in the mixed-use and high-rise segment. Development began in 2019, and SQ Rés includes two towers with a height of 23 floors that occupy an area of 1.3 hectares. SQ Rés is the second phase of development of the 7.1 hectare South Quarter integrated office area, which will continue to grow to more than 13 hectares.
SQ Rés was designed by Tom Wright, a world-renowned architect from the architectural firm WKK in London, England. This apartment was developed as a residential facility with the theme ‘Oasis in the City’ — offering a modern and comfortable resort-style residential concept and equipped with complete facilities for socializing, relaxing, and gathering with friends or family.
Apart from the attractive development concept, the location of SQ Rés is very strategic in the TB Simatupang business corridor of South Jakarta. This location is equipped with various transportation access facilities, with close proximity to Fatmawati and Lebak Bulus Mass Rapid Transportation (MRT) stations as well as the JORR toll road to Soekarno-Hatta airport.
“SQ Rés was developed as part of the Lebak Bulus Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept. The TOD area has a high value because it prioritizes aspects of connectivity, accessibility and walkability that answer the needs of the urban community,” said Permadi Indra Yoga.
According to Yoga, residences that are close to public transportation facilities have better value and marketability compared to residences that are far from public transportation facilities. The location of SQ Rés is only about 500 meters from the nearest MRT station and a shuttle bus service is provided to and from the complex.
SQ Rés Project Leader Kundarso explained that SQ Rés offers many of the comforts of living in a central business district. Besides being close to various amenities, SQ Rés is also equipped with facilities such as private cinema, spa and beauty salon, water pavilion, jogging track, indoor and outdoor playground, and a tropical swimming pool.
As part of the greater SQ development, SQ Rés is equipped with an elevated walkway that connects commercial, retail, lifestyle and residential facilities. This concept combines natural elements and modern elements to create a comfortable residential area and provide a walking experience for residents to enjoy all the available facilities.
